Disruptive Innovation

April 29, 2008 at 9:44 pm (Uncategorized)

I just realized I have not written in a while, so I thought I would write a bit about disruptive innovations. A disruptive innovation is something that starts off as a bad investment; it is something that may look unappealing to adopt but that in the long run will definitely pay off. Past examples of disruptive innovations are:

  • mp3 players
  • paper
  • guns

These are from wikipedia but an example that we came up with is cds! We will definitely be using computer chips or something smaller than those bulky discs in the future, don’t you agree?!
